Cybermatrix: tic-tac-toe Human VS. Robot! Can a Human win a game of tic-tac-toe against a Robot! The Cybermatrix Robotic kit is based on the old game of Tic-Tac-Toe.
The control panel for the exhibit kit affords the museum visitor the chance to interact with Cybermatrix in an entertaining, challenging and educational format. Once the start button is pushed the robot arm picks an “X” then the human user makes an “O” move. Then Cybermatrix compares the move that has already been made by the human user to the board options for possible moves then signals its robotic arm to seek an available square. When the square is in sight of the arm, its robotic finger selects Cybermatrix's move by striking the board sensor with the finger magnet. The game continues until time runs out or until the game is won or tied. This is a stunning kit. Below are images of MRISAR's Cybermatrix, including a Kit that was incorporated into the traveling exhibition "POPnology". The media coverage stated that our part of POPnology was exceedingly popular! From a mathematical perspective it is not possible for a human to win the game of Tic-Tac-Toe against Cybermatrix, and the human should never have a better result than a tie. Naturally the logic of such an absolute is not appealing to the human element, so Cybermatrix has a few random patterns it creates to trick the exhibit into loosing occasionally. Cybermatrix is an educational exhibit with a fun twist that will appeal to children and adults alike. The kit is designed to be visually stunning, educational and usable by virtually any age of museum visitor. This robotic arm is totally open framed for educational viewing which relates to STEM. Cybermatrix kit comes complete with a quality built electronic-electromechanical robot arm, support electronics, visual support materials, maintenance information and schedule, activities and control panel. The exhibit case is not included. Click here to view complete specifications that are on the sales page for the encased version we sell!
