MRISAR's Self-Assembly Replicating Robots Exhibit
Two robot caterpillars start out as a set of blocks and then assemble themselves. Once assembled a face on them lights up. They will also say a few words about the technology, by responding to a set of push buttons that correspond to a set of questions. After a timed period they dismantle and return back to the individual block state for the next person’s turn.
Size of case is 35” deep x 7.5’ wide x 72” high. As with all of our robotics exhibits this exhibit also conveys a wide variety of elements that are important to STEM education. One key aspect of this is the fact that all of the main electrical, mechanical and electromechanical elements are documented in the associated educational materials and graphics. |
