Original Bronze Wall Sculpture by Victoria Lee Croasdell
Siren in Metal
This is an Original Etched Aluminum Wall Hanging Partial Self-portrait by Victoria Lee Croasdell, an awarded, published and exhibited; multi-disciplined artist, photographer, writer, poet and engineer. She is also a member of MRISAR's R&D Team. She is the primary designer of all MRISAR graphic headers, exhibit display borders (like the one above), exhibition graphic panels and graphic design details on our robotic and science exhibits.
This piece is made of a hand etched aluminum mounted on M.D.O. that is painted with acrylic. Size 18" wide x 15" high. Created in 1996. It is based on European mythology. This is a stand alone art piece, but also (not shown here) it has an etched aluminum oval poem in braille that accompanies it to complete its total form as Illustrated Poetry. Victoria, a multi-awarded poet, writes poetry for all her art pieces and many of her photography pieces, thus adding an extra dimension or understanding into her conception of its particular creation. Most of her original works have two different versions, a standard version and an interactive version, both of which are included in MRISAR's traveling exhibitions. Additionally some of these two different versions are for sale and come in 3 forms: 1- as a one-of-a-kind piece; 2- as limited edition pieces; 3- as unlimited pieces.
