MRISAR's Underwater Robots; Turtle & Fin Swimmer Exhibit
This exhibit contains two autonomous, phototropic, aquatic robots in an artificial habitat that each operate with different behaviors and skills. Use the buttons to control the exhibits lighting in order to encourage the migration of the robots.
Learn how the outward designs of a creature can dictate probable behaviors and abilities and how in designing robotics systems these elements are tested, explored and integrated with sensory and logic based elements. As with all of our robotics exhibits this exhibit also conveys a wide variety of elements that are important to STEM education. This exhibit features an artificial terrain of a hypothetical underwater environment with two mobile robots. The exhibit is suited for locations in the middle of the floor as the upper section is clear, which allows many people to view the exhibit while it is being operated. Enclosure is made of light-weight aluminum framing. Top section is clear durable poly-carbonate. Base section is made of laminated ply and its color is optional. The case size of exhibit is approximately 72" high x 40" wide x 40" deep. ![]() Terms: 7-year warranty against defects in our workmanship; Free Life-time phone/internet technical support; Life-time parts supply sourcing for our exhibits at reasonable prices.
